Individual Art Therapy and Psychotherapy for children, teens, & adults
Art therapy is the use of creative processes, such as drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, etc, to explore emotions and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. I am here to be your guide in the creative process, helping you to use art as a pathway to healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
Psychotherapy is traditional “talk therapy,” which means we’ll use conversation to process thoughts, emotions and behaviors in a safe space.
Welcome to Creative Journey Therapy - I am Jessica Burnett, ATR-P, LPC Associate, supervised by Bess Green, ATR-BC, LPC-S. As both a clinician and artist, I am passionate about helping individuals bring their inner world into view. Through a warm, process-based, and creative approach, I support clients in giving form to the feelings, memories, and meanings they hold close- transforming what is internal into something tangible and expressive.
I am committed to creating a healing experience that reflects and responds to the unique essence of each person who enters the space.
I earned my masters degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute in NY, where I focused on supporting children and adolescents in school settings, teens and adults in private practice, and adults in a sober living facility. I have also worked in the non-profit sector. These diverse environments have provided me with the rich and nuanced understanding of how to support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, intellectual and developmental disabilities, parenting stress, and addiction.
